In the game there are two opposing races at war with each other: the Alliance and the Horde. When you have decided which side to play there are nine classes of character to choose from: Shaman, Warlock, Warrior, Druid, Hunter, Death Knight, Mage, Paladin, Priest and Rogue. A Warlock in PvP is actually a simple class to play. The basic strategy is to hit an opposing character with tons of DoT (Damage Over Time) spells, then cast Fear on them repeatedly. Do this enough times and the opponent dies.

Warlocks also can drain mana from other characters and can regenerate their own health. On top of that, they can be optimized to be extremely dangerous against casters due to their Felhunter, a pet seemingly designed to slaughter mages. To sum it all up, if you know what you are doing, your Warlock can defeat any other character class.

That said, if you don’t know what you’re doing, your Warlock is going to be dying fast and often in PvP. With no combat ability outside their casting, Warlocks are at the mercy of any character that can resist their magic, or somehow drain the Warlock’s mana before the Warlock kills them. A veteran Warlock player will learn the skills necessary to deal with any opponent capable of resisting their magic. It’s when learning each enemy’s strengths and weaknesses that a quality Warlock PvP Guide will transform your game.

A Warrior’s biggest concern is usually how to get close enough to an opponent to bring sword or axe to bear, and how to stay close enough long enough to kill the target. It’s possible to spend most of your time in the arena running after weaker but nimbler characters. To close the gap on the cowards, you will need to use Warrior-specific skills like Charge at the start of battles and Intercept to keep the enemy from dancing away once you do get closer. When in close combat range, you’ll need to use other skills like Hamstring and Intimidating Shout to keep your quarry close, then load up on rage and tear the weaklings apart.

And while you’re thinking about all this, don’t forget that those damnable casters and ranged fighters will be slowly sapping your strength with their annoying spells and puny arrows. For this reason, you must learn how to use your defensive stances and spell reflects, get comfortable with the timing of Intercept and Hamstring, while always being to unload as much damage as possible when you get the chance.
