If you’re playing a Warlock in WoW Player Versus Player combat, you’re a target. Many PvP players hate Warlocks, while even more fear them. Your ability to curse other characters to death makes you a vicious opponent, and a powerful one. Despite your powers, you aren’t indestructible, and many of your opponents would like nothing better than to put you down. Life is very interesting for Warlocks in PvP combat.

A Warlock in PvP is actually a simple class to play. The basic strategy is to hit an opposing character with tons of DoT (Damage Over Time) spells, then cast Fear on them repeatedly. Do this enough times and the opponent dies.

Warlocks also can drain mana from other characters and can regenerate their own health. On top of that, they can be optimized to be extremely dangerous against casters due to their Felhunter, a pet seemingly designed to slaughter mages. To sum it all up, if you know what you are doing, your Warlock can defeat any other character class.

That said, if you don’t know what you’re doing, your Warlock is going to be dying fast and often in PvP. With no combat ability outside their casting, Warlocks are at the mercy of any character that can resist their magic, or somehow drain the Warlock’s mana before the Warlock kills them. A veteran Warlock player will learn the skills necessary to deal with any opponent capable of resisting their magic. It’s when learning each enemy’s strengths and weaknesses that a quality Warlock PvP Guide will transform your game.

Warlock PvP Guides are incredibly important. As a Warlock, it is extremely difficult to defeat some classes without a well-honed strategy. You can learn how to do it the hard way, in battle or you can invest in a Guide book.

For example, if a Priest drains most of your Warlock’s mana, it will be very hard to retaliate. Also, Priests and Paladins can remove your curses with their dispel abilities, taking away some of your most potent weapons. To succeed against the better opponents, you need to know what each class will do against your Warlock, as well as how often they can use their counters against you.

A good Warlock PvP Guide will answer these questions for you. In general, your best bet to being successful with a Warlock in PvP is to go into combat with a set of preplanned tactics that you will adjust on the fly, depending on the situation.

In a quality Guide, you’ll learn what and when to cast against each classand how to respond to their attacks. You’ll know how to take on each class in one on one duels, and what to do as part of a 2v2, 3v3, or 5v5 team.

Even if you do decide to learn the ins and outs of Warlock PvP combat yourself, you’ll find that a quality PvP Guide will contain strategies and tactics that are not obvious to newer players. It will teach you the most important things to know, saving you a big block of time you would otherwise have to spend dying in battle before you become good at PvP combat.

Competing as a Warrior in World of Warcraft PvP combat might seem straightforward. Find the enemy, then pulverize him! But it isn’t really that simple at all. Let me explain.

Not surprisingly, the goal of a Warrior is to deal as much physical damage as possible. Surprisingly, the best Warriors are not so much worried about taking physical damage as they are suffering spell damage. The reason for this is simple. Only Paladins and other Warriors can survive in hand to hand combat with a skilled Warrior. But everything changes if their opponents have powerful magic on their side.

In truth, Warriors don’t get many opportunities to duel against other Warriors in the arena. And any decent PvP player knows that they stand little chance in close combat against a Warrior, so they don’t engage. Warriors often end up fighting spell casters and ranged fighters like Hunters. And that kind of combat definitely requires sound tactics, as well as a solid understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the opponent.

A Warrior’s biggest concern is usually how to get close enough to an opponent to bring sword or axe to bear, and how to stay close enough long enough to kill the target. It’s possible to spend most of your time in the arena running after weaker but nimbler characters. To close the gap on the cowards, you will need to use Warrior-specific skills like Charge at the start of battles and Intercept to keep the enemy from dancing away once you do get closer. When in close combat range, you’ll need to use other skills like Hamstring and Intimidating Shout to keep your quarry close, then load up on rage and tear the weaklings apart.

And while you’re thinking about all this, don’t forget that those damnable casters and ranged fighters will be slowly sapping your strength with their annoying spells and puny arrows. For this reason, you must learn how to use your defensive stances and spell reflects, get comfortable with the timing of Intercept and Hamstring, while always being to unload as much damage as possible when you get the chance. That’s a lot to figure out on your own. A quality Warrior PvP Guide will provide you all the information you need to do just that.

A quality Warrior PvP Guide will show you how to defeat the other character classes in various situations, where weapons skill and sheer combat power alone are not enough. It will teach you how to battle against any opponent on your own terms, including those unmanly ranged fighters and robe-wearing spell casters. And it will show you how to properly use your rage and crowd control abilities together to immobilize and deal death to your foes.

In addition, because a quality PvP Guide incorporates the hard-earned experience of veteran Warriors, it will contain strategies and tactics that you’re unlikely to discover on your own until you too had spend hundreds of hours reaping mayhem in PvP. It will teach you the key things you need to know, saving you all the time and energy you would otherwise spend on learning by trial and error.
